Epic Finish

Flyers win double overtime epic against Caps behind Mike Knuble's game winner

For the first period this game had disaster written all over it. Despite scoring a goal less than a minute into the game, the Flyers looked sloppy and unprepared during the first period of this game.

And, they settled down during the 2nd and 3rd stanzas and made it a 3-3 game and headed into overtime, which hasn't been so unkind to them as it had been earlier in the season.

The tables turned quite a ways as the Flyers held the puck down in the Caps' zone in the overtime periods, unlike earlier in the game when it seemed that the Flyers couldn't get the Capitals away from Biron.

In what was the first multiple overtime playoff game at the Wachovia Center, the Flyers came up big behind goals by Jeff Carter, Danny Briere, and Mike Knuble.

Once again the Flyers shut down Alex Ovechkin, who has just one goal in four games.

Can you say choke job?

The Flyers now have a commanding 3-1 lead in the series and all the pressure is on Washington as they head down there Saturday night.

Once again, you have to give serious props to the Flyers' fans who were as loud as any collection of fans that I've ever heard in any Philly sporting event.

Get down with the orange, because the ride is just starting.

And, this one is for Alex Ovechkin who has one goal in four games!
