It has been reported that local Philly product and former Phillies commentator John Marzano has been found dead in his home.
This is very shocking news because Marzano appeared to be in perfect health. It is not yet known whether he fell down the stairs or had a heart attack.
Marzano was one of my favorites on WIP and Comcast over the years because he was like one of your friends. His style was very simple and he told it like it is and was about as likeable a person as you'll hear on the air or see on TV.
And, all I can say is news like this really hurts.
My thoughts and prayers go to his family.
Mr. Marzano was 45 years old.
