Offer In

Eagles offer Lito Sheppard and Reggie Brown for Larry Fitzgerald

This trade offer is almost as bad as the bad trade offers you receive in your fantasy football and baseball leagues for your best players. It's your classic "2 dimes for a quarter" trade offer.

If this is what the Eagles truly offered, then they must think the Cardinals are morons. I can't see the Cardinals even considering this offer. Lito Sheppard is the Eagles' garbage right now. Some will say he's a damn good player when healthy and I'll say that he's never healthy. Therefore, how good is he? He killed this team last year. And, now the Eagles are desperately trying to trade him because he's disgruntled and reduced to a back-up role.

And, Reggie Brown is garbage. He took a step foward in 2006, but last year regressed to the point where you wonder if the Eagles can EVER draft a wide receiver that is worth a damn. I don't think the Eagles will ever draft a quality wide receiver as long as Reid and Heckert are here. What leads you to believe they ever will get that right if they haven't to this point?

The Eagles are going to have to do better than this if they expect to land an ELITE receiver like Fitzgerald. I'd say Sheppard, a 1st, and a 4th round pick would get it done, but no way in hell will the Cards take two dimes for a quarter. This isn't fantasy football.
