Flyers Collapse

Flyers blow 3-goal lead and lose to Maple Leafs

Just gets better and better each day in Philly doesn't it?

Monday: the Sixers lay a turd against the Celtics after sucking us back in.

Tuesday: Larry Fitzgerald signs a friggin' contract extension just before he gets on a plane to travel the globe for a few weeks.

Tuesday night: The Flyers lay a turd against the Maple Leafs after leading 3-0 and blow the game.

John Stevens, who is the coaching equivalent of Bernie's corpse from "Weekend at Bernie's" actually showed a little emotion and ripped one of his players last night.

What next? Cole Hamels will---

I better shut up now while I'm still ahead, because I might jinx one of our players.

Phillies pitching approaching speed limit levels

Quick pop quiz for you? What's higher, the speed limit in a school zone or the Phillies' starting pitching ERA?

If you guessed the Phillies' starting pitching ERA you'd be wrong, but not by much. Their ERA this spring is 11

The man with the plan

Eddie Stefanski was on with Howard Eskin yesterday and was quite candid with what this team needs heading into the future.

He said they need another guy on the level of the "two Andre's" meaning another quality starting guard. That way Thaddeus Young can move to his natural position of small forward. Then, they need an upgrade at power forward.

So, how do they get such a player? Looks like a sign and trade is the answer.

Some guys to think about this summer are Charlotte's Emeka Okafor and Atlanta's Josh Smith.

I'm a bigger fan of Okafor since he doesn't have the character issues that Josh Smith possesses, but he does have an injury history. He only played in 26 games in 2005-2006 and 67 games in 2006-2007. He's been very durable this season playing in 63 games and boasts career averages of 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game. Nothing to scoff at. Michael Jordan is a moron as a front office guy. Remember he's the same guy who put his chips into Kwame Brown, Jarred Jeffries and Randy "I busted my knee every month" Livingston so I'm sure Eddie Stefanski could school Michael in a trade.
