Dream Scenario

St. Joe's and Temple set to face off in A-10 Final

<

You hear that loud sigh? That's the collective sound of Philadelphia, St. Joe's, and Temple fans who have breathed a sigh of relief that not only a Philly team will represent in the Tourny, but everybody's dream scenario will play out tonight.

The Hawks stepped up big with a win over Xavier in the semis, while Temple knocked off Charlotte.

Things couldn't have worked out any better. Now, we can all breathe a sigh of relief as there will certainly be a Big 5 team in the NCAA Tournament. The question is will both teams get in?

If Temple wins, they're definitely in and St. Joe's will be a likely team, although not a definite. But, if St. Joe's wins they're in and Temple is less likely to be in.

As a Temple grad I have to root for the Owls. But, I'd love to see both get in.

Sixers pull off another shocker

The Sixers are becoming basketball's version of the cardiac kids. They erased an 18-point deficit last night to defeat the Bulls in Chi-town.

Rodney Carney stepped up again with 18 points (12 in the fourth quarter). And, Andre Iguodala also stepped up in the fourth quarter with 11 of his 25 coming in the final stanza.

The Sixers are inching closer and closer to the big .500 mark, which would be an achievement for a franchise that was though to be moribund back in December when Billy King got the axe.

My, my, my how things can change in a few months. Yes, Ed Snider, we're starting to care again. If you win, they'll come back.
