The Sixers defeat the Spurs 103-96

No, you are not seeing things. Your Philadelphia 76ers knocked off the San Antonio Spurs last night, giving them their third straight win.

And, don't look now, but they're just one game under .500 with a 33-34 record. And, if that's not good enough for you they're 15-4 over their past 19 games.

Forget this talk about securing a spot in the playoffs. The Sixers are just 4 1/2 games behind Cleveland for the #4 seed. While, that's a longer shot, they can very much secure the 5th seed, as they're just 2 games behind Toronto for that spot. Right now, they stand one game behind Washington for the 6th seed.

It's going to be a wild and fun race towards the finish line in these last 15 games.

Andre Miller, the key player acquired in the Iverson trade (whom will return to Philly for the first time on Wednesday) had a season-high 32 points. The other A.I.-Andre Iguodala had 25 of his.

And, how could you not enjoy Sammy D's block on Tim Duncan down the stretch?

No longer can we dismiss the Sixers as a team that feeds on the ham and eggers and teams on back to backs. They're beating legit teams. Detroit. Phoenix. San Antonio. They are all victims of the Sixers' wrath.

Yes, people the 76ers are for real. Buckle your seat-belts, because it's going to be a fun ride.

Flyers blow another one with under 30 seconds left

I was watching this game with my buddy yesterday at the pub in town and had a bad feeling. Watching the Flyers anymore is like watching a horror flick. When the unsuspecting girl goes into the bathroom, you just know what's in store for her. Well, when the Flyers have a one-goal lead in the final minute you just have a bad feeling they're going to blow it.

It's like the feeling you get when you eat some improperly cooked meat at a picnic, then the rumbling in your stomach starts up and it sounds like a creaky battleship. That's the Flyers for you.

In honor of their amazing ability to blow leads, I challenge you to take the Flyers Magic 8 Ball challenge.

Just ask the 8 Ball at this link, if the Flyers will lose (insert # of games) with 30 seconds left and it will tell you!
