Larry Fitzgerald agrees to deal with Cardinals

Well, we can mark Larry Fitzgerald off the list of potential receivers to help put the Eagles over the top.

It has been announced on his official website just a few minutes ago that he re-signed for 4 years and $40 million with the Cardinals.

That leaves Roy Williams and Chad Johnson as the other potential targets and yours truly isn't too crazy about Chad Johnson these days in light of the recent uncoverings about him punching his coach and threatening to sit out the entire year.

After the Sixers laid a turd last night upon sucking us in, this just adds to the lousy news.

If the Eagles can't land an elite receiver this offseason then they're going to have to pursue Julius Peppers and assemble a Super Bowl defense. You have to be great at something to win in the NFL; you don't necessarily have to be a great team.
