In Town

Eagles are giving Asante Samuel a tour of the facilities right now, plan on making him available at 4:30

Right now as we speak, Asante Samuel is being courted by the Eagles' braintrust as they try to win him over while he's in town. It's a very aggressive move for a team that needs playmakers on all three phases of the game.

They were said to have agreed on a deal for 6 years and $60 million and now it's a matter of completing it.

The Eagles will make Samuel available to the media at 4:30.

This all but means Lito Sheppard's career in Philly is over unless the Eagles rework his deal and move Sheldon Brown to safety.

The speculation is they'll try to move Lito for a pick or to get Larry Fitzgerald.

According to profootballtalk.com the Eagles are after Raiders linebacker/defensive end Chris Clemons.

Clemons had 8 sacks last season and just 20 tackles. He's listed at 6-3 240. He's hardly a front-line player, but would surely serve as a rotation player.

Eagles cut Kearse, sign Hanson and Reed.

As excpected the Eagles signed "The Meek" Jevon Kearse. Kearse while making an impact in 2004, was a huge disappointment in his other three season, which saw him miss 16 games. Overall he had 20 sacks in 4 years.

Not what the Eagles thought they'd get when they inked him to an 8-year $64 million deal.

And, the Eagles signed both J.R. Reed and Joselio Hanson to tenders.

Cowboys interested in Moss?

This goes into the Oh Shit category. The Cowboys are rumored to be interested in Moss. This is reason enough that the Eagles should either A.) get Larry Fitzgerald or B.) do whatever the hell they can to sign Moss.

If the Cowboys have T.O. and Moss it would immediately make them the best offense in the league.
