It was confirmed last night that Mike Patterson was arrested for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop in Jersey.
Who'd have thunk it? Mikey P has been toking it up? His brother, who was with him at the time was picked up as well for resisting arrest.
What does this mean? Well it gave me an ample opportunity to have some photoshop fun with Mike Patterson (photo above). As far as a suspension goes, he's not looking at a suspension from the league since it's a first-time offense. Just remember, Donte Stallworth failed a drug test for weed back in 2005, but wasn't suspended when he was with the birds.
Patterson will be in the NFL's drug program so he will be tested regularly and if he screws up again he's looking at a 4-game suspension.
Next time you want to toke up Mike, just do it at home. Be responsible and don't get nailed again please. The team needs you.
I personally don't give a damn what players do in the free time as long as they're productive on the field. If a player wants to get his rock on, so be it. Just perform on the field and do it in the privacy of your own home.

Unfortunatly today's society does't feel that way (although I do )as long as you don't hurt anyone else it's fine by me.
He is productive player on our team, in other words he shows up for work and does his job, that's all I care about.
Let's just hope for the teams sake he doesn't have a real problem with it, like Ricky Williams does !
I hope Mike Patterson can put this incident behind him quickly. He's like a son to me (rim shot in background)
