Sixers Rally

Sixers come from behind to beat the Wizards

There is absolutely nothing new to report on today in Philly sports (on the pro scene at least) aside from the Sixers winning and a tidbit on the Phils. So, I'm forced to give you a little something on the Sixers' game last night. OK, go ahead and click off the page.

For those of you who didn't click away, they beat the Wizards 90-78.

Anytime the Sixers beat anybody, let alone a decent team like the Wizards you have to attribute it to the opponent partying too much the night before.

In fact, Gilbert Arenas was spotted at a party last night in Washington.

I lied, I just got that pic off google images.

No news yet on top QB recruit Pryor

Ok, this is sort of Philly sports related. Well, it's a stretch, but the top college football recruit in the nation resides in Western PA and his name is Terrelle Pryor.

He's a 6'6" quarterback and the only QB ever in PA history to rush for 4,000 yards and throw for 4,000 yards in his career.

And, oh yeah he's thinking about playing for Joe Pa in Happy Valley. Suffice it to say he is not announcing where he's playing yet even though today is national signing day. If he goes to Penn State, you can imagine how much it will elevate their program and the hype for them too.

Phillies looking at Kris Benson

Once again the Phillies are going on the cheap for pitching, or hoping to do so. They are taking a look at pitching washout and former #1 overall pick Kris Benson.

This proves once again that the Phillies are like the homeless picking through the trash.
