Rocky Start

Eagles start camp with litany of problems

Eagles training camp is less than a week old and already there is enough turmoil and injuries to fill up an entire newspaper for a week.

Shawn Andrews is out indefinitely with some sort of emotional problem.

Brian Westbrook is laying down the law and wants a contract done by opening day.

2nd year defensive end Victor Abiamiri has a busted wrist and could be out up to four months, leaving the defensive line with no bigger defensive ends along the line.

Asante Samuel has a bad hamstring.

The list goes on and on and it seems every year now the Eagles get off to these rocky starts in training camp and can't ever get it together during the season. It started after the Super Bowl year and continues this year.

And, today they got a scare when defensive end Chris Clemons was taken to the hospital for dehydration. Thankfully he's ok and has been sent back to Lehigh.

Andy Reid maintains his veneer of anger towards the media and refuses to budge one iota, for he could care less about divulging a morsel of information to you the fans.

Such is life in the world of the Eagles.
