Aaron Rowand signs with the Giants for 5 years
This was a Dave Montgomery special yesterday. When Pat Gillick was interviewed and said they wouldn't go beyond 3 years because they felt "he would get hurt"-he meaning Rowand it was straight from Dave Montgomery.
Yesterday is further proof that Gillick is just a puppet for ownership and has no autonomy whatsoever. And, Gillick got testy when grilled about the Phillies' budget. He said they're not cheap and they just want to spend money wisely.
That's a crock of shit! If that's such a truism, then what do they have to say for themselves about wasting $10 million on Freddy Garcia, Adam Eaton, and Wes Helms?
This team will never do everything it takes like the Red Sox or the Mets or the Tigers as long as Dave Montgomery is here.
Watch him raise the ticket prices again just to screw the fans. So, I'm putting out a reward for Dave Montgomery. Somebody arrest this man!
